Dear Ahmed,
Do you or any other artist in Egypt create fine arts digital art?
that features Egyptian digital art. I searched on search engines for
"Egypt digital art" and get "NO RESULTS". So I
think NO Egyptian
digital art exists on the internet.
I would like to donate some artworks to your school so the students and
faculty can see digital art. I am Hawaiian American digital artist since
1985, lst in Hawaii.
After the exhibit at your school you can keep the artworks as a gift
from me. It is 12 works, a part of an exhibition to be held at a small
Hawaii museum next month, July 3rd opening reception. I will attend the
opening at this other island away from Honolulu.
If you can accept my gift of art and have exhibition at your school,
maybe I can travel to Egypt and give lecture on "Cyberart of the
Internet Cyberculture". I gave lecture in 1999 at US Embassy American
Center in Calcutta, India. I also gave lectures at Shanghai
University,
College of Fine Arts in 1988 at People's Republic of China. Also had
major show at Shanghai Art Museum, China's lst digital art exhibition.
Please let me know if you accept my gift art to you for your assistance
to share digital art culture with your school and country.
Sincerely,
Pygoya Rodney Chang, MSED, MA, PhD
(honorary professor of art, awarded by Shanghai University)

Subject: Truly Virtual Web Art Museum
Dear Ahmed,
Thank you for contacting me and expressing interest in Truly Virtual Web
Art Museum.
I reviewed your site and your work is fantastic. You must be one of the
new bright talents of Egypt!
Do you do any digital art? If you do, I would invite you to have an
exhibition (10-15 jpeg images) at my virtual Web art museum. You would
be the lst Egyptian cyberartist- fascination by Americans to see your
work. Your exhibition like all the other international artists exhibited
at lastplace.com will have permanent exhibition online, never deleted.
So the works are truly in permanent museum of the Internet!
By the way, did you graduate for fine arts school or are you now a
faculty teacher at the art school cited in your biography?
Maybe it is a very American curiosity and silliness, but do you have any
works with pyramids as subject matter? That would be very innovative
as
subject for digital art world.
Warm Regards,
Dr. Rodney Pygoya Chang

Dear Ahmed,
You are a great friend. Thank you very much for your help and networking
for
international digital art culture.
I will send my gift digital frame boxes to you. What address do I send it
too. I
will instruct the Hawaii museum to ship directly to you in Eygpt after my
exhibit there is completed on July 27th.
You can take time to find a little show place in your city after that
time.
The other half of this Hawaii museum show already is going to South
America. So
after the Hawaii exhibit the art works travel and disappear some other
place in
the world. Very exciting art concept for me.
If you can find some Eygptian digital artists I would like to invite them
(your
work too) for a group Eygptian digital art exhibition at lastplace.com.
It will
be historical show for the Internet and for my online museum!!!!!
Thank you again,
Pygoya

OK, I just open and read this email.
How about you are the spotlight Eygptian digital art of the internet of
Truly
Virtual Web Art Museum?!!!!!
Then you can invite other artists (2-4) to show world other Egyptian
directions in
digital art.
I will need 10 of your digital works and 4 or 5 of each of other artists.
Please SEARCH and help me make the internet's FIRST cyberart show with you
as the
new STAR!!!
:) Your friend on the opposite side of this spinning ball,
Fellow Earthling,
Pygoya
Hello again Ahmed,
If possible the works should have some Eygptian subject matter or at
least mirror
the Eygptian landscape and/or psychic - past or present. It not,
at least the
artists/you must write a short "artist's statement" about the
works, about how it
is to be an emerging digital artist in Egypt. The world is curious
to know what
the experience of the artist is there for cyberart, beginning at this
time of the
century.
large to make the jpegs and K size approximations.
I also will need the portrait of you and any other artists in the show.
Plus you
can decide on a "title" for the show for the online museum.
Also, do you have any midi music file that has Egyptian feeling - for
background
of html pages of works.
Don't rush, you must have much work now to finish your school project.
We can do
your show later this year. Let me know what month is good for you.
Have a nice weekend (Sunday).
Your good friend in Hawaii, USA-
Pygoya
Thanks,
Pygoya
By the way, the history of digital art of Hawaii and the USA is
contained in my
long time artist's journal, located at-
It's my own experience, thoughts, over the years since the beginning
of PC
graphics. Of the many artists I know abroad in computer art, their
experiences
are very similiar to mine.
The journal is a good place to STUDY new digital art medium. At
the bottom you
can see articles I presented in India to 100 artists in 1999.

Pygoya
