Their Artwork
For two artists who have published their
theories on "what is art," it seemed like
an interesting idea to combine the personal artworks of both into an exhibit
enriched
by theoretical art theory. Although both men's concept of the art phenomenon
overlap,
each is quite different in approach and conclusions. Could the distinct
difference in each
artist's artwork be partly a product of how each working artist conceives his
work by
adhering, or at least be influenced, by his theory on the nature of art?
